The following information is provided for the guidance of visitors to the Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club in order that all visitors may enjoy their golf at Deal to the full. The RCPGC is pleased to welcome visitors.
Clubhouse opening hours:
- Summer - The Clubhouse will be open from 7.30am until 8.00pm Monday to Sunday with the exception
- Winter - The Clubhouse will be open until 6.00pm Monday to Sunday
Dress Code:
- Tailored shorts are permitted on the course provided they are worn with long hose.
- Collared, polo neck and crew neck shirts are permitted on the course and in the causal lounge of the Clubhouse.
- Denim trousers and trainers are not permitted.
- A jacket and tie is required in the formal lounge (Aisher Room), and in the dining room, after 11.00am
- Shorts are not permitted in the Clubhouse
- The wearing of golf shoes or headgear is not permitted upstairs in the Clubhouse or in the dining room
- Visitors are requested to change in the clubhouse changing rooms and not in the car park
Terms and Conditionsd for vistors:
All visitors are welcome to the Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club and will be treated as temporary members both on the course and in the Clubhouse
- All visitors should book their tee times through the office and pay the appropriate deposit ensuring that the full balance is paid no later than 7 days before the date of play. All visiting Societies should arrange their visit well in advance.
- All players should check in at the Professional's shop at least 15 minutes before their start time
- The Club cannot guarantee a tee time for any golfers exceeding the number of players already booked.
- Should there be any residual greenfees to pay then this should be paid at the Pro's shop before play commences.
- A full list of players, preferably with email addresses, should be lodged with the professional or office before play commences.
- The RCPGC has a half way refreshment hut which can be opened for visitors on request.
- Mobile phones are not allowed in the Clubhouse but may be taken onto the course in case of emergency only.
- Slow play should be discouraged. The normal courtesies of golf should be observed and the rules of etiquette should be followed at all times. If a match should fall behind the match ahead by more than one hole then the following match should be waved through. For visitors guidance a round of golf should take a maximum of 3 1/2 to 4 hours. All pitch marks should be repaired, divots replaced and bunkers raked.
- Persistently slow players may be asked to leave the course. No refund will be given.
- All players should have a current handicap certificate which should be presented to the Pro's Shop upon arrival and which should be available for inspection by the Course Ranger or Secretary.
- The Club reserve the right to refuse access to the course to anyone who does not have a valid handicap certificate
- For your guidance the RCPGC golf course is a challenging links course. In order to ensure the enjoyment of all golfers on the links we impose a handicap limit of 22 for men and 36 for ladies.
- The practice areas include a range behind the members' car park near the professional shop where tokens for the range ball machine may be purchased. The putting green and pitching area are on the other side of the Clubhouse near the visitors car park.
- Play will be from the yellow tee pegs unless prior permission has been sought by category one players from the Secretary, or in his absence the Assistant Secretary, to play from the Championship tees.
- Buggies and caddies can be booked and paid for at the Professional's shop at £25 a round. Hire clubs are available. Trolleys are £3 a round.
- Smoking is not permitted within the Clubhouse, halfway hut or any other confined space.
- The Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club does not accept liability for damage, loss or injury suffered by persons on the course or in the Clubhouse or environs. Motor vehicles are driven or parked at the owner's risk whilst on golf club property where the Club accepts no responsibility for damage.
