We can accommodate the requirements of individual tee times, society groups and corporate events.

We are a two-ball Club, with three and four-ball play permitted on Mondays and Thursdays.

May I extend my personal welcome to all visitors to Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club. I know that our Secretary, James Leah, and all the Club staff will do everything they can to ensure that you have an enjoyable visit.

As you will see from this website, ours is a club rich in history, having hosted two Open Championships and numerous other major golf events and we are, at present, continuing a 4-year cycle as a venue for Final Qualifying for The Open, as well as co-hosting The Amateur Championship in 2025.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Course Manager, Ben Williams, and his team, the course is always in superb condition. The famous Deal ‘micro climate’ makes for a fantastic Winter course (though beware of the wind!) and in Summer, long days, big skies and skylarks add to a wonderful links golf experience that we believe is second to none.

After your arrival at the Club, please take time to visit our Professional, Sam Smitherman, and his team, who will be on hand to provide you with any golf equipment or clothing you might need, as well as any assistance with your game.

I trust you will also experience a warm and friendly welcome in the Clubhouse, where I and other members are always delighted to share golfing tales with our visitors.

SOUTH EAST OF ENGLAND LINKS CHAMPIONSHIP

  • Incorporating the Royal Cinque Ports’ Prince of Wales Challenge Cup and the Royal St. George’s Grand Challenge Cup, the South East of England Links Championship is a 72 hole strokeplay championship for amateurs with a handicap of 2 or better

PRACTICE FACILITIES

DRIVING RANGE

  • The 300 yard driving range is a great facility to warm up before your round, or to work on your game
  • The driving range offers both grass and astroturf tees
  • The sheltered practice bays provide a facility to hone your game in the event of poor weather

SHORT GAME AREA

  • Constructed in 2019 the Short Game Area is a fantastic facility to enjoy a pitch and putt, or to practice your short game
  • Consisting of two undulating greens, tight run offs and two bunkers, the area replicates some of the greens complexes found on the course

PUTTING GREEN

  • Our 1,500 square metre putting green is the perfect place to warm up before your round, or to practice your putting
