Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club

RCPGC is pleased to welcome visitors to the Club and has a flexible policy to suit the requirements of societies, corporate events, or small social groups. Three and four ball golf is permitted on Mondays and Thursdays. On all other days two ball golf is the only permitted format (singles or foursomes).

Welcome from the Captain, John Munro

“It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club.

The course is widely regarded as one of the very finest links courses in the country and it is always a very fair yet demanding test of your golfing skills. The traditional out and back layout means that your round will be greatly influenced by the direction of the wind, of which there is usually plenty. You will need to save some energy for the last four holes, described by Gary Player as “the finest four consecutive holes on any course in the world”.

The Club has a proud history, dating back to 1892, and twice hosted the Open Championship. It is one of the Final Qualifying venues for the Open Championship from 2015 to 2017 and had the honour of hosting the Amateur Championship in 2013. It is the home of the annual Halford Hewitt, the largest amateur golf championship in the world.

You will receive a warm welcome from everyone at the Club. Our Secretary, James Leah, and our Professional, Andrew Reynolds, together with their respective teams, will do everything that they can to make sure that your day here is an enjoyable one, both on and off the course.

Play well. I am sure that your day here will be memorable.”
