The Eighteen-Hole Course

Harry Hunter designed, and began constructing, the course in 1897 and the full eighteen holes were opened in 1899.

A newspaper reported “It is now a magnificent links and requires thoroughly good golf to negotiate it, as all bad shots are most properly punished…”
